Clough Williams-Ellis’s Italian village at Portmeirion. The village is open 7 days a week and well worth visiting. As well as visiting the village itself it is well worth visiting the gardens and walking through the gwyllt. The Portmeirion hotel and Castell Deudraeth have fine restaurants and are very good value at lunchtime – it is worth calling in advance to book and check whether they offer the set lunch. Dogs are not allowed at Portmeirion.
